Spent pretty much all day polishing the Evo and listening to Radio Le Mans. First time I've used an orbital polisher, along with three steps of the McGuire's system, and the results were pretty good. I can now see every rock chip and ding very clearly. That's what happens when you DD a car for ten years. You will note that it is sans wing. It is at the paint shop being refinished. Sadly, the Mini didn't get any love.

So this is what happens when a smurf fucks a lancer, you get an evolution!

hahaha, nice blue. I've been thinking that I haven't seen an VIII or IX in quite some time.

Hopefully I'll beat Silvestro to this.

SOON.

How did you like the powerball? I need to claybar/wax my car and I want to try a powerball cause I hate hand waxing.

didn't use a Powerball. Just a standard orbital. I did use Mequiars' polishes and wax.

That pic doesn't do the color justice. The S4 camera is not my favorite. I like the blue. There were a ton of red and silver. I suppose when there are only 6500 of any sporty type car they get rare over time. Out of our original 15 Atlanta owners group I'm the only one who still has theirs. Most wrecked.

Yeah, I didn't mean it to talk shit on the blue, I really like that color. The reds didn't hold up that well to the Southern California sun, clear coat failure up the ass. And it didn't help that Mommy and Daddy bought them for kids that had no business being in them and wrecked them.

I got to ride in the pre production VIII back in 2001 or so, that yellow one that was used in all the magazines. I had a friend whose dad worked for Mitsu corporate and would let him take home all the fun cars. It was awesome.

The paint system on these things are trouble. Wing clear fails, brake clear fails and the solid colors are single stage and thin. Still, mine has held up pretty well. As you said, it helps that it is adult owned and has been garaged.
